bring on the world

Frank Lampard 17th April 2012

“In the past few months the goals have come thick and fast for me, which is always a good thing! I feel very confident and I’m happy to take that mindset into the World Cup.

I try to get into goal scoring positions – I’m seeing a lot of spaces at the moment, and I’m arriving in them and hitting shots. I’m not scared to take anything on. I just hope I can keep that up for the next month or so!

Missing a penalty in the FA Cup final does not put me off taking penalties for England. I’m man enough to stand up again, even though the miss will play on my mind a bit.

I’m pleased to be going into the World Cup feeling strong. My Chelsea team-mate Ashley Cole has been injured, but now he’s strong too. John Terry is as determined as always, and playing well, and Joe Cole is hopefully fresh after a lack of minutes for Chelsea.

As a group, the Chelsea boys in the England squad don’t feel tired. The excitement overtakes any of that!”
